If you are referring to the American soldiers who are being charged with murder, there are several outstanding issues with the case. One prevailing story which the BBC ran, and which has yet to be adequately verified, is that after a US marine lance corporal died in a roadside bombing in Haditha last November, his fellow marines went on a killing spree.

The soldiers contend that they followed battlefield procedures in carrying out their duties.
